Well after two full days of traveling, I am to say the least, exhausted. Yesterday, our flight left from at Atlanta a little late, so we arrived in Miami and we were pushed for time. For anyone wondering, the Miami airport does suck. We had to hike a country mile to get boarding passes and it was just an unorganized mess. I survived this barely.
Yesterday... my time in the Miami airport was not good. I developed a migraine that was unbearable and I definitely was fighting back the tears. Plus, it really made me miss my caring boyfriend, I appriecate those times that he takes care of me especially when I have a migraine. This was one moment where I wanted him more than anything. So, at the point of nausea, I thought maybe I should try to eat before this 7 hour flight and maybe that would help me feel better.... wrong... instead I wasted $12.19 on food that I ate two bites of.
So, needless to say, I crawled, well really walked and got on the plane in Miami and hoped I wasn't going to throw up from the pain. After forcing myself to go to sleep things got a little better. I still wasn't able to down the airplane food though. I just didn't think pasta would go very well on an already nauseated stomach. So, I took a few bites for fear of starving to death... and we all know that is bad news! Then, it was back to sleep. A few hours later, I was awoken to eggs for breakfast. They were alright, but this is airplane food we are talking about. At this point, I was migraine free!!!! So yay! Glad that was over and done with because I didn't know if I was going to make it.
So, at about 6:30 this morning we landed in Santiago, Chile! Then, we waited an hour for the rest of the crew, finally to begin our 6 hour bus ride to La Serena! I slept most of the way, but for some reason I am still soooooooo tired!
For lunch we stopped at what was like a gas station/convienent store, but they had like a whole grill section for food. I seriously think today, I had the best cheeseburger I have ever had in my LIFE! American cheeseburgers.... have NOTHING on these! Here I was finally able to get a connection on Wi-fi so I could send an email letting all the important people know I had arrived, which was a comforting feeling for me. I miss home already.... sad, I know, but very true.
Then at about 4/5 ish we arrived in La Serena. We got settled in to our room and then headed out to a restaruant that was within walking distance to catch the start of the Chile Urauguay Soccer game, after that dinner was at 7, and now I in my little twin bed cozied up ready for sleeppppppppppp!
I will post pictures and a less scatter brained update soon.
Love you all,
Especially my mom, dad, and my Robbie.
Miss you so much.
